NBC Wins Monday Among the Big 4 in 18-49 and Total Viewers

NBC wins Monday night among the Big 4 networks in 18-49 and total viewers. "American Ninja Warrior" (1.4/6 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 8-10 p.m. ET): grows +27% versus last week's holiday-impacted telecast (1.4 vs. 1.1). Despite last night's high-rated "Home Run Derby" competition on ESPN, increases week to week in total viewers by +9% (5.566 million vs. 5.085 million). Ties as the #1 show of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX in adults 18-49. Will add substantial viewership via time-shifting - last week's "Ninja" grew by +23% in 18-49 (from a 1.06 rating to a 1.30) and +762,000 viewers overall (5.1 million to 5.8 million) going from "live plus same day" Nielsens to L+3, for the biggest L+3 lifts of the night on the Big 4 networks in 18-49 rating and percentage and total viewers Upscale: Last summer, "Ninja" delivered a solid upscale audience, indexing at a 122 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).

"Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" (1.0/4 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET): Wins the 10 p.m. hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, total viewers and every other key measure. Increases +25% versus last week's holiday-impacted rating in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.8). Despite last night's high-rated "Home Run Derby" competition, grows week to week in total viewers by +13% (3.913 million vs. 3.453 million). Grows +10% versus where the show ended its run last summer in 18-49 (1.0 vs. 0.9 for the "Spartan" finale from 8-10 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016) and +21% in total viewers (3.913 million vs. 3.225 million). Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD - last week's : "Spartan" increased by +20% in 18-49 (0.82 to 0.98) and +523,000 viewers overall (3.5 million to 4.0 million) going from L+SD to L+3. Upscale: Last summer, "Spartan" generated a strong upscale audience, indexing at a 123 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes (with 100 representing an average concentration of those homes).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday Night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 1.7/5 with an encore; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.5/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/4.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/2.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.9/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2 with an encore.

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
