NBC Sports Group Serves Up Eight Hours of Asics World Series of Beach Volleyball Coverage This Weekend

NBC Sports Group presents eight hours of coverage of the 2016 ASICS WORLD SERIES OF BEACH VOLLEYBALL this weekend from Long Beach, Calif., highlighted by three hours of live television coverage on NBC and five hours on NBCSN. Additionally, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream all NBC and NBCSN telecasts.

Featuring the world's top beach volleyball players from more than 25 countries, the ASICS WORLD SERIES OF BEACH VOLLEYBALL serves as a welcome home party for U.S. and international beach volleyball Olympians. All athletes are competing for a prize purse of $400,000.

Olympians participating in the 2016 WORLD SERIES OF BEACH VOLLEYBALL include bronze medalists Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross (USA), partners Phil Dalhausser and Nick Lucena (USA), as well as gold medalists Laura Ludwig and Kira Walkenhorst (Germany), and Alison Cerutti and Bruno Schmidt(Brazil).

Television coverage begins Friday, August 26, at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN with the women's quarterfinals, and continues through Tuesday, August 30, on NBC and NBCSN.

Olympic gold medalist and veteran play-by-play commentator Chris Marlowe will call the action from Long Beach. Marlowe will be joined by beach volleyball Olympian and three-time All-American Kevin Wong, who will serve as an analyst. Dain Blanton will report from the sideline.
