NBC Rebroadcasts Hold Strong on Friday; DATELINE Up Week-to-Week

From 8-8:30 p.m. ET, an encore telecast of "The Michael J. FOX Show" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) is up 14% Versus its 18-49 rating with a rebroadcast in this slot last week (0.8 vs. 0.7). This week's "Michael J. Fox" encore matched NBC's highest 18-49 rating in the time period in three months (since June 28).

From 8:30-9 p.m. ET, a rebroadcast of "Sean Saves the World" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall) retained 100% of its 18-49 lead-in from the "Michael J. FOX Show" and retained 99% of its total-viewers lead-in.

"Dateline NBC" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) retained its full 18-49 rating in this hour during premiere week one week earlier (1.2 from 9-10 p.m. vs. 1.2), which matches NBC's second-highest rating in the slot since June 28. From its first half-hour to its second, "Dateline" grew by 8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2), 6% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.7) and 10% in total viewers (6.0 million vs. 5.5 million).

"Elizabeth's Story: A Meredith Vieira Special" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 5.6 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) retained 100% of its lead-in in adults 18-49 (with a 1.2 rating vs. a 1.2) and adults 25-54 (1.7 vs. 1.7), while holding onto 96% of its total-viewer lead-in (5.6 million vs. 5.8 million). Versus NBC's average in this time period last season, "Elizabeth's Story: A Meredith Vieira Special" matched the network average in 18-49 and grew by 16% in total viewers (5.552 million vs. 4.794 million).

In Late-Night Metered Markets Friday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.7/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.7/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5 with an encore.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.5/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4 with an encore.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.4/4 in metered-market households and a 0.5/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.3/4). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
