NBC Picks Up Craig Robinson Workplace Comedy for Six-Episode First Season

A year after the pilot was first ordered, NBC has picked up the workplace comedy MR. ROBINSON for a six-episode first season, according to Deadline.

Mark Cullen and Rob Cullen have joined the series as executive producers and co-showrunners, with Greg Daniels departing.

Former 'OFFICE' supervising producer, Owen Ellickson, penned the pilot's script. MR. ROBINSON centers arounds a musician (Robinson) who finds himself as the new music teacher at a middle school. Ellickson will also executive produce the project for Universal TV, Daniels' Deedle Dee Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment. Deedle Dee's Tracy Katsky, 3 Arts' Howard Klein and Mark Schulman will also serve as executive producers.

Aside from THE OFFICE, Robinson has also starred in HOT TUB TIME MACHINE as well as EAST BOUND & DOWN.
