NBC NIGHTLY NEWS is Drawing Biggest A25-54 Audience in Three Years

NBC NIGHTLY NEWS WITH LESTER HOLT ranked #1 in the demo for the week of October 31, averaging 1.9 million A25-54 viewers, leading "ABC World News Tonight" by +166,000 (10%) and "CBS Evening News" by 403,000 (+27%). Season to date, Nightly News is having its best A25-54 delivery to start a season in three years (2013-14). Versus last season, Nightly News has doubled its A25-54 lead over ABC (+236,000 vs +118,000 last year), reaching its widest demo advantage over ABC in four years (2012-13).

Among A18-49, Nightly News averaged 1.4 million viewers for the week, topping ABC by +148,000 (+12%) and CBS by + 351,000 (+34%). The NBC News broadcast has ranked #1 in A25-54 and A18-49 for 66 of the last 67 weeks. Season to date, Nightly News is the only evening newscast to post growth among A25-54 viewers (+7,000) and is showing the biggest increase among A18-49 viewers (+43,000).

Nightly News averaged 8 million total viewers for the week, leading CBS EVENING NEWS by +1.4 million (+34%).

Election night coverage on the NBC broadcast network airs from 7 p.m. - 2 a.m. ET tonight, led by Holt, "TODAY" co-host Savannah Guthrie, and "Meet the Press" moderator and NBC News political director Chuck Todd. Holt, Guthrie, and Todd will be joined by NBC NEWS SPECIAL correspondent Tom Brokaw for "Decision Night in America."
