Constantine first appeared as a recurring character in the series The Saga of the Swamp Thing in 1985. Keanu Reeves played Constantine in a 2005 film adaptation. Guillermo del Toro has also hinted that the character will appear in his upcoming Justice League Dark film for Warner Bros.

Goyer has adapted many DC Comic stories for the screen, including The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Batman Begins, Man Of Steel and Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman vs. Superman movie.

Aside from The Mentalist, Cerone has executive produced the TV series Motive, The Dark Corner, Dexter, Dirty Sexy Money, Sex, Love & Secrets and Charmed.
