NBC Garners 42 Primetime Emmy Nominations, Leading Broadcast Networks

NBC received 42 Primetime Emmy® nominations from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, leading the broadcast networks and surpassing its 41 nominations received last year.

Iconic late-night franchise "Saturday Night Live" received a nomination for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and led NBC's tally with 17 nominations, more than doubling last year's eight nominations. "Saturday Night Live" raises its all-time Emmy nomination record to 218 - the most of any program in the history of TV. "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" also picked up two nominations, including Outstanding Variety Talk Series.

NBC's high-flying alternative series "American Ninja Warrior" earned its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program. "The Voice" also garnered its 4th nomination in the same category, and received an additional 5 nominations.

NBC's event television also fared well with "Adele Live in New York City" garnering four nominations, including Outstanding Variety Special, and "The Wiz Live!" making its mark with 6 nominations, including Outstanding Production Design for a Variety, Nonfiction, Event or Award Special.

NBC also secured two digital nominations for "Jay Leno's Garage" in Outstanding Short Form Nonfiction or Reality Series and "Saturday Night Live Interactive Experience" in Outstanding Interactive Program.
