Molly Shannon to Star in, Executive Produce Comedy Pilot Fox

Television's former 'superstar' is back.

According to Deadline, iconic SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE player Molly Shannon will reportedly star in and executive produce a new mother-daughter comedy for Fox, with SUPERSTAR director Bruce McCulloch on board to write.

"Fiona (Shannon) who, at the top of her professional career, clashes with her stay-at-home pregnant daughter."

Shannon was just nominated for a 2013 Emmy for her recurring role in HBO's Enlightened, and wrapped a stint on ABC's freshman comedy Super Fun Night alongside Rebel Wilson. Other TV credits include Hannibal, The Middle, Happily Divorced, Web Therapy, Up All Night, Neighbors from Hell, GLEE, Kath & Kim, Pushing Daisies, American Dad!, 30 Rock, Cracking Up, Will & Grace, Sex and the City, In Living Color and more. Shannon also appeared on Broadway in Promises, Promises in 2010. Her next big-screen projects are Life After Beth and Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant.
