Molly Shannon Gets Recurring Roles in HBO's GETTING ON and FOX's RAISING HOPE

Saturday Night Live's Molly Shannon will be adding two new shows to her recurring roster with HBO's GETTING ON and FOX's Raising Hope.

GETTING ON is the US version of a BBC Four medical comedy. Shannon is set to play Phyllis Sullivan, a sweet but stressed woman charged with taking care of her elderly mother.

Shannon will be playing Maxime, the new owner of Howdy's, in Raising Hope season four, beginning in the fourth episode.

Shannon was just nominated for a 2013 Emmy for her recurring role in HBO's Enlightened. Other TV credits include Hannibal, The Middle, Happily Divorced, Web Therapy, Up All Night, Neighbors from Hell, GLEE, Kath & Kim, Pushing Daisies, American Dad!, 30 Rock, Cracking Up, Will & Grace, Sex and the City, In Living Color and more. Shannon also appeared on Broadway in Promises, Promises in 2010.

Her next big-screen projects are Life After Beth and Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant.
