Mark Wahlberg to Produce A&E Docu Reality Series Based on THE FIGHTER

Deadine reports that Mark Wahlberg is set to produce a reality pilot for the A&E cable network based on his feature film THE FIGHTER.

The actor will executive produce the show described as a "docu reality series." The half-hour project is based on the boisterous, belligerant sisters in the Oscar-nominated film and will focus on the daily lives of four woman in Boston who "juggle family, work, and relationships all while remaining true to their way of life."

Stephen Levinson will co-executive produce along with Bill Thompson of Bill Thompson Prods., Inc. and reality producer Stephanie Drachkovitch of 44 Blue Prods. Production on the project is scheduled to begin in the upcoming weeks.

Wahlberg starred and produced The Fighter, which was recognized with seven Oscar nominations in 2011 including best picture. Chritian Bale and Melissa Leo picked up awards for best supporting actors.

Wahlberg was most recently seen on the big screen in the summer megahit Ted. His next project is the upcoming Transformers movie.
