As America's favorite TV housemates prepare to take their final bow on the boardwalk, MTV today announced it will give fans one last JERSEY SHORE programming hurrah for a full week leading up to the Thursday, October 4 (10pm ET/PT, back-to-back episodes) sixth and final season premiere. Beginning Thursday, September 27 at 10p.m. ET/PT with the "Jersey Shore" retrospective "Gym, Tan, Lookback," the network will kick-off a seven-day programming and content extravaganza that includes a full series marathon of all five previous seasons so fans can relive every fist-pump, tanning session and jaw-dropping moment that helped turn a reality series into a pop culture phenomenon.

Highlights from the "Seven Days of Jersey Shore" programming launch include:

Thursday, September 27 at 10p.m. ET/PT (EVENT KICK-OFF): The week-long on-air celebration begins with the one-hour retrospective special "Gym, Tan, Look Back" which features footage from the final season in addition to cast interviews in which they reminisce about quintessential water-cooler moments from the show, share their personal feelings about the last six seasons and give their perspective on the series that turned them into household names. Then at 11p.m. ET, MTV will consecutively air Seasons One through Five, back-to-back.

Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30: The weekend will be a
multi-screen experience for viewers, when they get the chance to interact directly with The Cast. Beginning at 2pm ET on Saturday and 12pm ET on Sunday, The Cast including @DeenaNicoleMTV, @DJPaulyD, @ItsTheSituation, @MTVRonnie, @MTVSammi, @Snooki and @VINNYGUADAGNINO, will live tweet from their official Twitter accounts during Seasons Four and Three, respectively. The fun won't end there however, as MTV will run never-before-seen interviews with Members of The cast all weekend in between episodes, in which they will discuss all things "Jersey Shore."

Thursday, October 4 (FINAL SEASON PREMIERE DAY): Premiere day finally arrives and the week-long blowout launch celebration will count down to the evening's back-to-back episode premiere at 10p.m. ET/PT. Fans can check-out a full-day marathon of The Cast's very own favorite episodes and then at 7p.m. ET/PT, The Cast will host premiere night from their adopted home of Seaside Heights, New Jersey all the way up until the nights two-hour premiere.

Following Season Six premiere on October 4, MTV will give viewers bonus programming each week at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT following all-new episodes, from fan-favorite after shows with The Cast, to all-new specials including, "Jersey Shore Dictionary," "Jersey Shore Bloopers," "Best of Reunions" and more.

MTV Mobile provides "Jersey Shore" aficionados on the go with full episodes, sneak peeks, photos, bios and through the iTunes, the "Spread Snooki" and "Jersey Shore City Guide" apps directly to their phones and mobile devices.

"Jersey Shore" is MTV's highest rated series ever in the network's history and it has achieved and maintained television domination as the #1 cable series for P12-34 consecutively for all five of its previous seasons. The fan fascination with the series led to a Thursday night, 10-spot programming domination and a burgeoning franchise that to date includes, the domestic spinoff series "The Pauly D Project" and "Snooki & JWOWW," the latter of which will airs its season finale on Thursday, September 13 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

"Jersey Shore" has been one of MTV's top performing series across all of the network's international markets and within its target audience of youth viewers 12-24, performing particularly well in Australia, Denmark, Singapore, Spain, Mexico, the UK, Poland, Ireland, Belgium and Sweden. "Jersey Shore season 6 will be premiering on MTV's international channels starting in October 2012."

"Jersey Shore" has also inspired two international versions for MTV, further expanding the franchise: "Geordie Shore" in the UK is the #1 show in MTV UK history and will air its fourth season later this year, and season one of "Gandia Shore" in Spain will premiere this fall.

"Jersey Shore" is executive produced by SallyAnn Salsano from 495 Productions. Jacquelyn French is executive producer for MTV. Janay Dutton is Executive In Charge of Production for MTV. Concept created by Anthony Beltempo.
