MSNBC's Phil Griffin isn't quite sure Fox's rating are on the up-and-up.

Following Nielsen's ratings report that Fox's numbers for Monday to Tuesday had doubled during Megyn Kelly's new show THE KELLY FILE, Griffin spoke out at a briefing today - demanding some sort of investigation into the "impossible" numbers.

"Monday we had a really good day in the key demographic. On the night that Fox News debuted their three shows, we either tied or beat them in those hours," Griffin said, according to TVNewser, via The Hollywood Reporter.

"Tuesday -- you guys should be doing some investigations; I have never seen it in all my years of cable -- same overnight, same everything. And they doubled their ratings in a day? It is impossible." Griffin continued, "I have never seen it. They did election-night numbers in the demo Tuesday."

Monday night, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow had topped Kelly in all key demos, but by Tuesday night, Kelly had taken scored 623,000 viewers in the key demo, with Maddow only drawing 291,000.
