"Meet the Press" was the most-watched Sunday morning public affairs hour on Sunday, January 13, 2013, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

The NBC broadcast featuring David Gregory's exclusive interview with Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.) drew 3.278 million viewers, topping This Week by +840,000, The Face the Nation hour by +1,180,000, and FOX News Sunday by +1,845,000.

MTP delivered an additional 1.060 million total viewers and 523,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts - 467,000 total viewers and 271,000 viewers A25-54 on the network, and 593,000 total viewers and 252,000 viewers A25-54 on MSNBC.

In Washington, DC, MTP averaged 116,000 total viewers (4.2/11 HH), +137% ahead of The Face the Nation hour's 49,000 (1.8/5), +231% ahead of FOX News Sunday's 35,000 (0.9/2), and +383% more than This Week's 24,000 viewers (1.0/3 HH).

Highlights:
MTP averaged 3.278 million total viewers, +34% (+840,000) ahead of This Week's 2.438 million, +56% (+1,080,000) ahead of The Face the Nation hour's 2.098 million, +129% (+1,845,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday's 1.433 million.
In homes, MTP delivered a 2.5 rating and 7 share, ahead of This Week's 1.8/5, The Face the Nation hour's 1.6/4, and FOX News Sunday's 1.1/3.
In rating A25-54, MTP delivered a 0.8 rating, +3 tenths more than The Face the Nation hour and This Week, and +4 tenths more than FOX News Sunday.
MTP averaged 956,000 A25-54 viewers, +50% (+318,000) ahead of This Week, +51% (+324,000) ahead of The Face the Nation hour, and +82% (+432,000) ahead of FOX News Sunday.
Versus the same telecast last year, MTP posted increases in total viewers (+5%, or +159,000) and in key demos: +20% in rating Men 18-49, +13% in rating Men 25-54, +14% in rating Adults 25-54.
MTP outperformed 4Q'12 levels in total viewers (+4%, or +120,000) and +13% in rating Men 25-54.

Sunday's edition of "Meet the Press" featured an exclusive interview with former Secretary of State Gen. Colin Powell (Ret.), and a roundtable discussion with Mayor Cory Booker (D-Newark), Fmr. Gov. Haley Barbour (R-MS), Republican strategist Mike Murphy, and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
