Following in the footsteps of their unauthorized tell-all movies of "Saved by the Bell", "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Full House", Lifetime is currently at work for a new film based on the popular 1992 nighttime soap MELROSE PLACE, according to The Hollywood Reporter,

The original series, which was developed as a companion show to Beverly Hills, 90210, starred Courtney Thorne-Smith, Andrew Shue, Grant Show, Doug Savant. Marcia Cross and Heather Locklear joined the cast in later seasons.

Using stories shared by the original cast and crew, the Lifetime movie will "highlight the remarkable behind-the-scenes moments that shaped the series - from early casting drama and Locklear arriving to "save" Melrose Place to the actors begging its writers for even wilder storylines to make them fan favorites." A premiere date for the movie has not yet been announced.

The primetime soap opera aired on Fox from July 8, 1992 to May 24, 1999, for seven seasons. The show followed the lives of a group of young adults living in an apartment complex called Melrose Place, in Los Angeles,California. The show experienced many cast changes throughout its run, with Thomas Calabro being the only original cast member to remain on the series.
