Legendary Writer Elmore Leonard Dies at 87; Work Behind FX's JUSTIFIED

Variety reports that legendary writer Elmore Leonard died this morning, Tuesday, August 20th at the age of 87 from complications from a stroke he recently suffered.According to Leonard's long-time researcher, Gregg Sutter, he was surrounded by family when he passed.

Leonard's works have been made into both TV shows and films including Get Shorty, Out of Sight, Hombre, Mr. Majestyk and Rum Punch, which was filmed as Jackie Brown. Leonard's short stories include ones that became the films 3:10 to Yuma and The Tall T, as well as the Current TV series on FX, Justified.
