Jonathan Groff had his best bud Lea Michele by his side at last night's premiere of his new HBO series LOOKING. The pair, whose instant chemistry began when they co-starred in Broadway's Spring Awakening, have supported each other through thick and thin over the years. Groff had a recurring role on Michele's FOX series Glee as Jesse St. James.
The actress shared a photo from last night's premiere on Instagram, along with the caption: At the premiere of @LookingHBO tonight w/ Jonathan Groff! Got to see the episodes and the show is AMAZING! #soproud.
LOOKING premieres January 19th, 2014 on HBO. The series will follow three friends who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men living in the San Francisco's Bay Area. Groff portrays Patrick a video game designer searching for love via OkCupid.
Groff's previous TV credits include Starz's BOSS alongside Kelsey Grammer and appearances on THE GOOD WIFE. His film credits include TAKING WOODSTOCK and THE CONSPIRATOR, as well as the Disney animated feature FROZEN and David Sedaris' C.O.G.
Groff starred in SPRING AWAKENING, for which he earned a 2007 Tony Award nomination. He has also appeared in Broadway's IN MY LIFE and HAIR, as well as off-Broadway's THE SUBMISSION, THE SINGING FOREST, and PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY.
