LIVE's Michael Strahan to Join ABC's GOOD MORNING AMERICA

ABC sources have confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that "Live! With Kelly and Michael" co-host Michael Strahan will be joining the team at GOOD MORNING AMERICA.

According to the report, discussions have been underway between ABC News and the former NFL player over the past several months. While Strahan will not be replacing any of the GMA anchors, he will be featured regularly during the morning show's 7 a.m. hour before taking on his daily hosting duties on Live! ABC has not commented on the report.

Last week it was announced that GMA anchor Josh Elliot wold be leaving the show where he has been working since 201 and will head over to NBC Sports. Amy Robach will be replacing Elliot.

Strahan spent his entire 15-year NFL career playing for the New York Giants.
