Also coming up are JENNIFER LAWRENCE, HUGH JACKMAN and PATRICK STEWART from the highly-anticipated film "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "24: Live Another Day" star KIEFER SUTHERLAND; and Oscar® winner CHARLIZE THERON. Also stopping by are JON HAMM from the new film "Million Dollar Arm," singer and "American Idol" judge JENNIFER LOPEZ, "Neighbors" star ZAC EFRON, late night host JIMMY KIMMEL, "Blended" stars DREW BARRYMORE and ADAM SANDLER, ZOE SALDANA from the NBC mini-series event "Rosemary's Baby," and "Scandal's" BELLAMY YOUNG. Over the next few weeks, "LIVE" also will host Great Performances from top musicians. The legendary band SANTANA, singer-songwriter DAVID GRAY, musical duo MKTO, and pop singer LILY ALLEN all will take the "LIVE" stage. Plus, the winner and runners-up from "American Idol" will perform for the "LIVE" audience.
Leading up to Mother's Day, "LIVE" will celebrate moms beginning May 5 with "Moms Week," a week-long tribute featuring heartfelt messages from celebrities to their mothers, a look at what happened when "LIVE" hit the streets to hear what New York kids have to say about their moms, and cooking segments with some of the moms of "LIVE."
The week of May 12 brings the return of "Top Teacher Week," a nationwide search that honors educators for being outstanding mentors to their students in and out of the classroom, for making their schools better, and for going above and beyond to serve their communities. Five finalists will be selected via an online vote, and one will be showcased each day during the week of May 12. After the last teacher has been featured, the "LIVE" viewers again will cast their votes to determine the 2014 overall Top Teacher, whose name will be announced on Tuesday, May 20.
"LIVE" finishes the month of May with "LIVE's Top Fitness Instructor Week." Earlier this month Ripa and Strahan announced the show's first-ever search for the nation's most dedicated fitness professionals, trainers who develop incredible routines, instructors who motivate their clients to overcome obstacles and those with unique and empowering methods. "LIVE's" production team will narrow down the entry pool to five finalists, who will appear on "LIVE" during the week of May 26-30 and demonstrate their routines with the hosts. "LIVE's" viewers will then vote on who will be named "LIVE's Top Fitness Instructor."
