Krysten Ritter to Star in, Produce NBC's MISSION CONTROL

Deadline reports that Krysten Ritter is set to star in and produce NBC's MISSION CONTROL workplace comedy pilot.

MISSION CONTROL, from writer David Hornsby and producers Adam McKay and Will Ferrell, will be "in the tone of Anchorman". Set in 1962, it will center on a strong woman (Ritter) who goes up against a macho astronaut in the race to land the moon.

Ritter's upcoming big screen projects include Asthma, the Veronica Mars movie, Big Eyes and Search Party. Her past TV credits include Don't Trust the B-- in Apartment 23, the TV movie Assistance, Gravity, Breaking Bad, Woke Up Dead, 'Til Death, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars and more.

She also appeared off-Broadway in 2006's All This Intimacy.
