Kristen Bell to Guest Star on PARKS AND RECREATION

Kristen Bell will soon be leaving Neptune for Pawnee.

The actress, who's currently filming the Kickstarter-funded VERONICA MARS film, is set to guest star on the upcoming sixth season of NBC's PARKS AND RECREATION, Entertainment Weekly has confirmed.

Bell will play an uppity City Councilwoman from Eagleton named Ingrid, the "richer and better dressed" version of Leslie Knope, according to executive producer Michael Schur.

Bell's appearance on PARKS AND REC will place her alongside Adam Scott, who had a recurring role on the first season of The CW's MARS. Bell also appeared in Rob Thomas' PARTY DOWN for a couple of episodes, which Scott starred in.

PARKS AND REC's sixth season is set to kick off on Sept. 26.

Kristen Bell has appeared on Broadway The Crucible and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, as well as Off-Broadway's Reefer Madness and as Fredrika Armfeldt in the 2002 Sondheim Festival production of A Little Night Music.
