Two-time Academy Award-winning actor and Old Vic artistic director Kevin Spacey discusses Broadway, Hollywood, and, most importantly, his TV role on Netflix hit HOUSE OF CARDS, as part of a new interview with Charlie Rose.

Commenting upon his Emmy Award-nominated role in the critically acclaimed HOUSE OF CARDS on new original programming outlet Netflix, Spacey opens up about his role not only as an actor but an executive producer, as well.

"While we were shooting SOCIAL NETWORK, which you know I produced, David [Fincher] got wind that the rights to this original BBC series HOUSE OF CARDS was available... so, we began a discussion - David and I - about whether we wanted to work together again as director and actor," Spacey says of how he became involved with the hit series.

"Netflix was the only network that said, 'We believe in you,'" Spacey says of the original drama upstart, who have since followed up HOUSE OF CARDS with a number of other series including Hemlock Grove and Orange is the New Black in addition to Season Four of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.

"It's the first time that a show that is being streamed has ever been nominated," Spacey says of the importance of the multiple Emmy nominations received for the medium-redefining series.
