Kevin Kline, Susan Sarandon to Star in THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD

Variety reports that Kevin Kline and Susan Sarandon will star in the upcoming film THE LAST OF ROBIN HOOD. Kline will take on the role of legendary actor Errol Flynn in the Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland-helmed indie.

The film will follow "the final days of Flynn's life - before he died at age 50 from a heart attack - and the relationship he had with 17-year-old actress Beverly Aadland" According to the report, Sarandon will play Florence Aadland, described as "Beverly's stage mother who wanted to be a star herself but ended up living vicariously through her daughter." No actress has been cast in the role of Beverly Aadland. Production is set to begin in January.

Sarandon will soon be seen in the upcoming epic, Cloud Atlas. She starred on Broadway in 'Exit the King' and received an Academy Award for her performance in 'Dead Man Walking,' as well as nominations for Atlantic City, Thelma & Louise, Lorenzo's Oil, and The Client.

Kline earned a Tony Award for The Pirates of Penzance and On the Twentieth Century. Among his other theater credits are Mother Courage and Her Children, Henry IV, King Lear, and The Seagull. He will next be seen on the big screen in Last Vegas with Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman.
