Katherine Heigl officially has her next small screen gig lined up.

According to Deadline, the GREY'S ANATOMY alum has signed on for CBS' upcoming rework of this season's legal drama pilot DOUBT. Heigl replaces KaDee Strickland, who appeared in the first iteration of the pilot, alongside Teddy Sears. Sears will also be recast.

Returning cast members include Dule Hill, Laverne Cox, Dreama Walker, Kobi Libii, and Elliott Gould.

The project follows "Sadie Ellis (Heigl), a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm shockingly gets romantically involved with one of her clients, Billy (originally played by Sears), who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime."

The project hails from executive producers Tony Phelan and Joan Rater. Both also work on GREY'S ANATOMY.

Heigl last appeared on television in NBC's short lived political drama STATE OF AFFAIRS.
