An all-new THEATER TALK features two actresses giving broad, touching performances in the revival of Kaufman and Hart's You Can't Take It With You - Elizabeth Ashley (as Russian Countess Olga Katrina, reduced to serving tables) and Julie Halston (as alcoholic actress Gay Wellington) - talking about their run in the play, continuing through Feb. 22 at the Longacre Theatre, and the sheer enjoyment they have being in a classic American comedy that brings gales of laughter over the footlights. They also share tips on playing comedy and the Zen of applying stage makeup.

Then comes one of the most unusual guests ever to grace THEATER TALK - Toby, the white rat with a major role in Broadway's hit The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Also featured in the segment are Toby's trainer, Lydia DesRoche, and one of Toby's many fans, the New York Post's drama critic, Elisabeth Vincentelli.

Hosted by Michael Riedel of the New York Post and Susan Haskins, this THEATER TALK episode premieres in the New York metropolitan area Friday, January 23 (2015) at 1 AM (Saturday morning) on Thirteen/PBS, and continues on CUNY TV* Saturday 1/24 at 8:30 PM, Sunday 1/25 at 12:30 PM, and Monday 1/26 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 7:30 PM.
