Shea will star as President Eckhart, a Southern politician who has chosen Natalie Maccabee (Stone) as his vice president.

In AGENT X, Stone stars as America's first female vice president, Maccabee, a woman with brains, beauty, and a cool composure that belies a Restless mind. After the death of her husband, a Senate candidate, Maccabee opted to run in his place. After a rapid rise as a political star, she now finds herself the newly elected Vice President of the United States. Initially apprehensive that her job will be ceremonial in nature, she soon learns that it comes with a Top Secret duty: protecting the Constitution in times of great Crisis with the aid of her Chief Steward and a secret operative designated "Agent X."

Penned by William Blake Herron (The Bourne Identity), Agent X is being produced for TNT by Beacon Pictures, with Armyan Bernstein (Air Force One, Spy Game, Children of Men, Castle) serving as executive producer.

Shea's recent movie credits include Anatomy of the Tide, Northern Borders and Campus Killer. He has also appeared on TV in The Good Wife, Common Law, Gossip Girl, Law & Order, Mutant X, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and more. Shea has appeared on Broadway in Yentl, Romeo and Juliet and End of the World.
