John Leguizamo Joins Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane in THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD Film

The Hollywood Reporter writes that John Leguizamo, Lynn Collins and Jim Belushi have joined the cast of Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego's upcoming drama for Atlas Independent and Relativity International, THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD. Set to star are Patrick Wilson and Ian McShane.

From a script by Nils Lyew, THE MAN ON CARRION ROAD follows "the visceral story of a botched Mexican cartel deal in the back roads of a border town. The town's new sheriff (Wilson) must team up with the retired lawman (McShane) he replaced to investigate the source of the deal in order to stop a mysterious cartel butcher (Leguizamo) and his systematic brutalization of the town's residents."

Production will kick off later this month.

Leguizamo's upcoming big screen projects include Cymbeline, A Conspiracy on Jekyll Island, Stealing Cars, American Ultra and Ice Age 5. He recently appeared in the films Chef, Ride Along, Kick-Ass 2, The Trip 2, The Lincoln Lawyer, and the Ice Age movies. His HBO special "John Leguizamo's Ghetto Klown", adapted from his Drama Desk Award-winning solo Broadway show, aired last month. The actor has also appeared on Broadway in American Buffalo, Sexaholix, and Freak, for which he was nominated for two Tony Awards.

Belushi will next be seen in North of Hell, Undrafted and A Change of Heart. Past film credits include The Secret Lives of Dorks, Legends of Oz: Dorothy's Return, Thunderstruck, New Year's Eve, Cougars Inc. and more. His recent TV appearances include The Defenders and According to Jim. Belushi has appeared on Broadway in Born Yesterday, Conversations With My Father and The Pirates of Penzance.

Among Collins' recent film credits are Unconditional, John Carter, 10 Years, Angels Crest, Uncertainty, Blood Creek, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and the TV series True Blood.
