Joan Rivers Receives Posthumous Grammy Nomination for Best Spoken Word

Nominations for the 57th GRAMMY AWARDS were announced today, December 5th. The music industry's premier event will take place live on Sunday, Feb, 8, 2015, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in high-definition TV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network from 8 - 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

Legendary comedian Joan Rivers, who passed away on Sept. 4 after complications from throat surgery, received a posthumous Grammy nomination for her recent candid memoir "Diary of a Mad Diva." Rivers received the nod for Best Spoken Word Album for the book's audio Version. It marks her second Grammy nomination, following her one for her 1984 Best Comedy Album nomination for "What Becomes a Semi-Legend Most?"

Other nominated in the same category this year include James Franco, senator Elizabeth Warren, singer Gloria Gaynor, former president Jimmy Carter and film director John Waters.
