Recent reports from Collider indicate that Hollywood's "It" Girl Jennifer Lawrence could be close to signing on to star in Quentin Tarantino's new Western, "The Hateful Eight." While it isn't clear which role she is in negotiations to take on, only one of the titular eight is a women, so it seems likely that it would be Daisy Domergue "The Prisoner."

In recent months Tarantino has invited fans and members of the media to live readings of the script. In those versions, previous Tarantino collaborators Zoe Bell and Amber Tamblyn have been attached to the role.

Tarantino currently is set to appear in court for a hearing in his lawsuit against Gawker.com, who leaked the original script through a link posted on their site last year. At one point, Tarantino had announced that the film was being cancelled in response to the leak.

However, as BroadwayWorld has previously reported, after the reading, shooting on the film will begin in November. The script centers on a stagecoach disaster and the bounty hunters, Confederate soldiers and other figured affected by it, biding their time at a saloon during a blizzard.
