Deadline Jeffrey Donovan will take on the role of John F. Kennedy in Rob Reiner's LBJ. The actor joins previously announced cast members Woody Harrelson (as Lyndon Baines Johnson), Richard Jenkins and Bill Pullman (as senators), Jennifer Jason Leigh (as Lady Bird Johnson), Michael Stahl-David as Robert Kennedy and Kim Allen as Jackie Kennedy.

Donovan starred in USA Network's BURN NOTICE and will soon be seen on the big screen in the upcoming film Sicario, alongside Josh Brolin and Emily Blunt.

Production on LBJ is scheduled to get underway later this month in New Orleans, La., Dallas, Texas and Washington, D.C.

LBJ, with a script by Joey Hartstone follows "the political upheaval that Vice President Johnson faced when he was thrust into the presidency and then struggled to heal a nation, deal with the Vietnam War and secure his presidency by passing Kennedy's historic Civil Rights Act."
