Jane Pauley's inaugural broadcast as the anchor of CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH JANE PAULEY on Oct. 9 (9:00 AM), on the CBS Television Network, will feature her profile of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Pauley was named anchor of CBS SUNDAY MORNING on air during the Sept. 25 broadcast, which also honored the 22-year-career of Charles Osgood. Pauley, who has been a contributor to the broadcast since April 2014, is only the third anchor in the broadcast's 39-season history.

"I feel this is the opportunity of a lifetime," Pauley says. "CBS SUNDAY MORNING defies my imagination. Each week it has such an eclectic mix of stories that are delivered with a distinctive voice that exists nowhere else on television. This is the best fit of any job I've ever had."

In addition to Pauley's interview with Ginsburg, the broadcast will include the latest reporting on Hurricane Matthew; a run-up to Sunday night's presidential debate and other news of the day; Susan Spencer's look at the role of placebos in medical research and testing; Mo Rocca's interview with superstar singer Celine Dion; Lee Cowan's chat with actor Nick Nolte; Seth Doane's report on the ancient art of Bonsai; and the latest installment in Conor Knighton's year-long trek to the nation's national parks.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is America's #1 Sunday morning news program and has been for 16 consecutive broadcast years.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
