The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) has selected actress Corinne Foxx, daughter of Golden Globe winner and two-time Golden Globe nominee Jamie Foxx, as Miss Golden Globe 2016 for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Quickly establishing herself as one of the freshest new faces in Hollywood, Corinne recently shot a campaign for accessory line, The Icing and is a senior at the University of Southern California. HFPA President Lorenzo Soria made the announcement this evening at the first party of the 2016 Golden Globe Awards Season, hosted by the HFPA and InStyle. The star-studded event was held at Ysabel West Hollywood and was presented by FIJI Water.

"We are delighted to have Corinne Foxx continue the tradition and have her as our 2016 Miss Golden Globe," said Soria. "Like her father, she leads a fine example of following her dreams and we can't wait to see what she does next."

"Throughout the years I've grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor," said Foxx. "I'm honored that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he's been recognized for some of his greatest accomplishments."

Founded in the 1940s during World War II, the HFPA was originally comprised of a handful of LA based overseas journalists who sought to bridge the international community with Hollywood, and to provide distraction from the hardships of war through film. Seventy years later, members of the HFPA represent 55 countries with a combined readership of 250 million in some of the world's most respected publications. Each year, the organization holds the third most watched awards show on television, the Golden Globe Awards, which has enabled the organization to donate more than $23.9 million to entertainment related charities and scholarship programs.
