Actor and director James Franco, who recently made his Broadway debut in the iconic play 'Of Mice and Men,' took to Instagram to share his freshly shorn head. The new look is for his role in the upcoming dark drama ZEROVILLE.

According to MTV , Franco acquired the rights to Steve Erickson's Hollywood novel of the same name in 2011. The story centers on "film student Ike "Vikar" Jerome, who travels to Tinsel Town with hopes of breaking into the industry." The site also shares that Vikar shaved his head and sported a tattoo of '50s-era actors Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor as they appear in "A Place in the Sun."
