JUSTICE LEAGUE Destined for Massive Rewrite?

JUSTICE LEAGUE Destined for Massive Rewrite?Things may not be looking good for the infamous JUSTICE LEAGUE.

Badass Digest reports that due to a "terrible" script by Will Beall, DC Comics and Warner Bros. are ordering a full rewrite of the ensemble super hero flick. The studios have yet to confirm the rumor, so for now, take it with a grain of salt. Still, the fact these rumors exist doesn't entirely bode well - especially following the film's recent setbacks.

According to multiple souces, Beall's script "includes Darkseid and a heavy cosmic threat," and that WB execs have been fighting to trim down the number of heroes featured, aside from Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern.

Warner Bros. is reportedly slowing the JUSTICE LEAGUE's momentum at least until Zack Snyder's MAN OF STEEL is released this year, Variety recently reported. Execs apparently want to assess how well the latest Superman outing performs before funneling too much cash into LEAGUE.

Additionally, as BWW Movies World previously discovered, Ridley Scott turned down the opportunity to helm the film, originally set for a 2015 release.

Several names have been rumored to be interested in directing the project including Christopher Nolan, David Yates, Ben Affleck and Zack Snyder; however all have evidently passed on the chance.

JUSTICE LEAGUE will feature a team of DC Comics superheroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Aquaman. The studio hopes to match the success of this year's blockbuster hit 'The Avengers', also based on comic book heroes.
