Despite the fact that the big screen adaptation of the Tony Award winning musical Jersey Boys failed to deliver at the box office, it appears as if it still having a positive effect on both ticket sales for the Broadway production and the music of Franki Valli and the Four Seasons.

Showbiz411 reports that ticket sales for the Broadway show were up 4.8% last week. The musical is doing better than it has done in months, due to the unusually severe winter in New York City. According to the report, the show sold out 90% of its tickets and took in over $900,000 last week.

In addition, the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons greatest hits package holds on to the No. 1 spot on amazon.com for the second week in a row. Likewise, the soundtrack to the "Jersey Boys" film has moved to the Number 3 spot on amazon, up from last week's Number 4 position. The cast recording for the Broadway show "Jersey Boys" also makes a return to the amazon charts, as does another Four Seasons greatest hits album, selling at full price.

Clint Eastwood's Jersey Boys film, which opened in nearly 3,000 theaters over the weekend, took in a disappointing $13.5M for Warner Bros. performing even worse than expected. The movie, based on the hit Tony Award winning Broadway musical skewed towards a much older audience than expected and opened in the No. 4 spot. The studio now faces criticism over its decision to debut the film during the summer months. The film was produced with a budget of approximately $38M.
