Tomorrow's "Together We Make Football" segment, narrated by NBC Sports Group's Josh Elliott, features the story of Sheridan (Ind.) HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL coach Bud Wright and his family. The Wright family is one of six finalists in a CONTEST to win a trip to SUPER BOWL XLIX. The segment will air between 8 and 9 a.m. ET on TODAY.
Bud Wright, the 73-year old patriarch of the Wright Family, has served as head coach of the Sheridan HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL team for 49 years. Wright's three sons are all HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL coaches in Indiana, and one of his daughters works as an assistant athletic director at Sheridan High School. In 2003, football helped Wright cope with the death of his wife, and he is now in search of his 10th state title. Tom Brady and the AFC East-leading New England Patriots (9-3) visit Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers (8-4) at Qualcomm Stadium this Sunday, Dec. 7, on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Sunday night's coverage begins with FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA at 7 p.m. ET.
