truTV, a division of Turner, and Hulu today announced a new deal that will grant Hulu subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) rights to the first five seasons of the network's popular variety sketch series, Billy on the Street. This deal marks the first truTV series that has been licensed to the platform and builds on an existing partnership between Hulu and Turner that launched in 2015.

Beginning July 10, all 42 episodes from the first four seasons of Billy on the Street, which is produced by Funny Or Die, will be available to stream on Hulu, and next year will see the debut of all episodes of season five following its full season run on truTV. Season five is currently in production and slated to debut on truTV this fall.

"As an incredibly popular and creatively-inventive show in truTV's portfolio, Billy on the Street has cultivated a passionate fan base that actively seeks out the show and embraces Billy's unique comedic talent and obsession with pop culture," said Chris Linn, president of truTV. "This partnership with Hulu gives us a great opportunity to both super-serve those existing fans and also introduce the show and our network to new audiences."

Billy on the Street is a variety sketch series that follows unfiltered and unapologetic comedian Billy Eichner as he hits the streets of New York City to test unsuspecting passersby. In the show's recently-wrapped fourth season, Billy was joined by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Chris Pratt, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, Anna Kendrick, Sarah Jessica Parker and Julianne Moore. The series is executive-produced by Mike Farah, CEO of Funny Or Die, along with Eichner, Anna Wenger and Doug Brady.

Eichner is also the star of the critically-acclaimed Hulu original series Difficult People, which will debut its second season on Hulu on July 12.

"I'm so excited that full episodes of Billy on the Street are finally available to stream on Hulu!" said Eichner. "Now Billy on the Street fans can watch the full half hour episodes whenever they need a fix!"
