Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he is trying to arrange a special appearance by Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables, Broadway's THE RIVER) as his iconic character Wolverine, in the upcoming superhero film DEADPOOL. The two fictional characters share a history together.

Reynolds, who is producing and starring in the 20th Century Fox film, stars as the smart-mouthed mercenary, who has a relationship with both the X-Men and Wolverine.

Asked by News.com.au about a possible Wolverine cameo, Reynolds shared, "God I hope so, that would be really nice." He added, "I dunno, we'll see. It seems like he's open to it, but it's gonna be more of a scheduling issue than anything else."

Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, Ed Skrein and TJ Miller also star in the movie, which will be the first feature project from director Tim Miller.

Deadpool is set to hit U.S. theaters on February 16, 2016.
