An attention-grabbing new promotional spot for the highly anticipated new season of long-running reality singing competition staple American Idol has been released, showcasing new incoming judge Harry Connick Jr..

The frequent Broadway headliner, recognizable Hollywood star and internationally celebrated recording artist joins the judging panel for the new season, teaming with returning favorite Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban.

"No one has the track record that American Idol has," Connick comments in the new clip of the show's success in finding new stars.

The official description of the new promo is as follows: "408 #1 hits, 19 platinum albums, 11 Grammys, and an Academy Award. It's safe to say that no one has a track record like American Idol! Tune in for the season premiere January 15th on FOX!"
