HGTV kicks off the New Year in style, by rolling out an all-day lineup of wondrous premieres to accompany its annual live and commercial-free coverage of the 124th Tournament of Roses Parade(R). From 8 a.m. to midnight ET/PT on Tuesday, January 1, HGTV will premiere 13 new specials that offer a glimpse of America's most astonishing spaces, including OUTRAGEOUS KITCHENS, OUTRAGEOUS BATHROOMS, EXTREME HOMES, AMAZING WATER HOMES and CELEBRITY MOTOR HOMES. At 11 a.m. ET / 8 a.m. PT, viewers will enjoy a front row seat for the 2013 Rose Parade as HGTV hosts Chuck Nice (HOME STRANGE HOME), Chris Lambton (GOING YARD), Matt Blashaw (PROFESSIONAL GRADE) join television personality Robb Weller to offer commentary on this year's festivities. The excitement continues after the parade with new episodes of fan favorites LOVE IT OR LIST IT (8 p.m. ET/PT) and PROPERTY VIRGINS (9 p.m. ET/PT), as well as a sneak peek of HGTV's new series Hawaii Life at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.


"New Year's Day is all about relaxation and marvelous entertainment," said Kathleen Finch, general manager of HGTV. "We continue to be inspired by the fantasy of the Rose Parade and want to amuse our audiences with a full day of dazzling programming."

HGTV will again host its own float in the parade. The float will feature an appearance by HGTV's Monica Pedersen and a miniature replica of the 2013 HGTV Dream Home alongside home styles from around the world - including a log cabin, an adobe, a castle and an igloo inhabited by the parade's first-ever penguins. After the parade, viewers can get their first look at the home, located in Kiawah Island, South Carolina, during the premiere of HGTV DREAM HOME 2013 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

OUTRAGEOUS KITCHENS (episode 101) Premieres at 8 a.m. ET/PT The kitchen used to be just a place to cook - well, not anymore. The kitchens in this episode have broken out of their boring mold and into legendary status, and their homeowner's have spared no expense. Kitchens so lavish, so huge and so unique, they are way more than unusual - they truly are outrageous.

OUTRAGEOUS BATHROOMS Premieres at 9 a.m. ET/PT Imagine a bathroom with lavish pools, bubbling fountains and lush green trees built to replicate a rain forest. From marble toilets to floating vanities, some of the world's most extraordinary, unexpected places to go are featured in this one-hour special.

AMERICA'S BEST KEPT SECRETS Premieres at 10 a.m. ET/PT Expert Host: Meg Caswell, interior designer On AMERICA'S BEST KEPT SECRETS, designer Meg Caswell travels across the country to visit artists' studios, craftsman workshops, design boutiques and homes styled by young, new, super-creative designers. From San Francisco, California to Hudson Valley, New York and Austin, Texas, Meg finds the coolest spots imaginable. Not only is she on a mission to find fantastic items to bring back to her clients at her Chicago-based business, Design Shoppe, she's also looking out for trend-setting ideas that will keep HGTV audiences ahead of the design curve.

EXTREME HOMES Premieres at 1 p.m. ET/PT The word "extreme" means different things to different people but to these homeowners it means pushing the envelope as far as possible. From construction to completion, take an up-close look at some of the world's most spectacular houses ever built - including a modern Italian castle, a seaside house made of refrigerator panels, a floating home that was a ferry boat and a spherical house that revolves with the sun-- find out what makes them all so unique on Extreme Homes.

AMAZING WATER HOMES Premieres at 2 p.m. ET/PT From a cottage surrounded by the sea to a mansion surrounded by a moat, host Rebecca Budig explores the most amazing homes where water is the main theme. A backyard beach and a 90,000 gallon fish tank are just some of the highlights featured in this one hour special.

COOL POOLS (episode 102) Premieres at 3 p.m. ET/PT Grab your umbrella drink and a towel because HGTV is visiting some of the most unique and unforgettable residential pools across the country. Journey to a mountaintop pool that appears to defy gravity. Go underwater with deadly fish. And visit the pools where Hollywood's swankiest stars gathered. Viewers will have poolside seats for some of the most creative pools ever seen.

HOME STRANGE HOME (episode 107) Premieres at 4 p.m. ET/PT Chuck Nice travels to a home called The Fallen Star, plus a geodesic dome home in Texas, a house built into a rock and more! Plus, meet the ingenious people who threw conventionalism to the wind to build their one-of-a-kind creations.

CELEBRITY MOTOR HOMES (episode 104 and episode 105) Premieres at 5 p.m. ET/PT and 5:30 p.m. ET/PT Expert host: Carter Oosterhouse, builder During Celebrity Motor Homes, host Carter Oosterhouse offers viewers an all-access pass to some of the most outrageous homes on wheels. Rock star Bret Michaels takes Carter on a walk-through of his personal tour bus, which is his home nine months a year while he's on the road with his band. Carter also visits the trailer of movie superstar Leonardo DiCaprio, who enjoys a $25,000 shower and two fireplaces while he shoots films on location. Country music star Trace Adkins offers Carter a personal tour of his home away from home that includes rustic and cozy design materials that remind him of his Nashville cabin.

RV 2013 Premieres at 6 p.m. ET/PT Tag along for a one-of-a-kind sneak peek at the latest and greatest recreational vehicles and travel accessories on RV 2013. HGTV's BranDon Johnson will lead three lucky families on the shopping trip of a lifetime as they hunt for their perfect RV at the largest RV show in America. From the most luxurious and over the top motor coaches, to tricked out trailers and toy haulers, get an insider's guide to everything you ever wanted to know about the most high-tech, eco-friendly, and all around coolest RV's.

DREAM HOME 2013 Premieres at 7 p.m. ET/PT Expert host: Monica Pedersen, interior designer Host Monica Pedersen takes viewers on a tour of the HGTV Dream Home 2013 in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. While there she also gives viewers a first-hand look at all of the shopping, food, and family-friendly activities in the area. One lucky viewer will ultimately win the HGTV DREAM HOME grand prize, a new vehicle and a cash prize.

LOVE IT OR LIST IT (episode 511) Premieres at 8 p.m. ET/PT Expert host: Hilary Farr (interior designer) and David Visentin (Realtor) Bothered by a bevy of closed off rooms, dueling staircases and a serious lack of privacy, Bill and Marian are wondering if their renovated triplex is working. Arriving right on cue are interior designer Hilary Farr and real estate agent David Visentin. Designer Hilary will revamp this residence to revive the love for this well-worn home, while Realtor David will attempt to please the couple with a new place to call home. When it's all said and done, Paul and Marian will have to decide: will they love their home again or will they list it?

PROPERTY VIRGINS (episode 1209) Premieres at 9 p.m. ET/PT Expert host: Egypt Sherrod With too much stuff and a rambunctious dog, Michael and Morgan have outgrown their one bedroom Atlanta apartment and are looking to buy a move-in ready home close to family and friends. Property expert Egypt Sherrod vows to find them a three bedroom home that's perfect for entertaining. Morgan goes with her instincts, while Michael struggles with staying on budget.

HAWAII LIFE (episode 103) Premieres at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT In Hawaii, from Oahu and Kauai to The Big Island and Maui, properties range from $50K plots of land to $50 million dollar dream homes. However, the brokers at the Hawaii Life realty firm who make island-living dreams a reality say, "you don't have to be rich to live in Hawaii, you just have to want it." The firm's 130+ brokers are unlikely real-estate moguls: people who made the leap to "the life" in Hawaii and want to see others enjoy it too. HAWAII LIFE will follow the firm's endless stream of clients who are abandoning their 9 to 5 lives in Anywhere, USA to take hold of life in paradise.

HOUSE HUNTERS (episode 7009) Premieres at 10 p.m. ET/PT Jennifer has just been transferred to Little Rock, Arkansas and now she and her husband, Adam, want to buy a home, but have completely different lifestyles. While she wants a populated neighborhood close to work, he wants to be surrounded by nature. This young married couple will have to make some compromises to find the home that works for both of them in their new hometown.

HOUSE HUNTERS INTERNATIONAL (episode 4904) Premieres at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT Celine and Kyle are looking to trade in the hustle of New York City for the tranquility of the Bahamas. Will giving up the convenience of the city be worth the cost of living?

ISLAND HUNTERS (episode 101) Premieres at 11 p.m. ET/PT This new series is HOUSE HUNTERS with a tropical twist. Follow some lucky buyers who aren't just looking for a house, but for the ultimate getaway - their own private island. They will tour three separate islands, complete with vacation home and gorgeous beachfronts, then will decide which beautiful tropical island escape they will call home.
