HBO will mark the fourth anniversary of the BOSTON MARATHON bombing with an encore presentation of the documentary MARATHON: THE PATRIOTS DAY BOMBING this Saturday, April 15 (2:00-3:50 p.m. ET/PT) on the main HBO channel. This powerful film recounts the emotional experiences of three families, including five people who were gravely injured by the blast, as they strive to reclaim their lives and communities in the three years that follow.

A 2016 Peabody Award finalist, MARATHON: THE PATRIOTS DAY BOMBING was produced in association with the Boston Globe, which won a Pulitzer Prize for its Marathon bombing coverage, and directed by Emmy® nominees Ricki Stern and Annie Sundberg.

Heralded as "very human, very moving...gripping and involving" by the Los Angeles Times, MARATHON: THE PATRIOTS DAY BOMBING will also be available for digital download on Friday, April 14 and on DVD on Patriots Day, Monday, April 17. The DVD will include a behind-the-scenes featurette that looks at the bond between BOSTON MARATHON bombing victims and wounded veterans at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
