According to Deadline, the upcoming HARRY POTTER spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, based on J.K. Rowling's 2001 novel, has received a November 18, 2016 release from Warner Bros. The big screen adaptation is being planned as a trilogy.

Die hard fans of the series (book not film) will know that the novel was released between the fourth and fifth books of the series and was marketed as Harry's textbook from Hogwarts.

Rowling said of the newly planned trilogy, "Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world," Rowling said at the time. "The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry's gets underway."

Whether audiences want another film from the Hogwarts' universe is up for debate but one thing is for certain; it will make a lot of money. With Warner Bros. planning video games and new merchandise, along with expanding the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park, there will be no place in the next few years that won't take all of us back to our childhood and regret The Day we never got out letter from Hogwarts.
