Glenn Close Joins Marvel's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

According to Deadline.com, Glenn Close will play a leader in Nova Corp in Marvel Studios' upcoming film Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie, directed by James Gunn, is aiming to begin production next month.

The story follows a U.S pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with "futuristic ex-cons", according to IMDb.

Close will be joining previously announced cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker and John C. Reilly.

On Broadway, Close has taken the stage in A Little Night Music, The Play What I Wrote, Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden, Benefactors, Barnum, The Crucifer of Blood, Rex, The Member of the Wedding, The Rules of the Game and Love for Love.

Close's upcoming projects are Lowdown, 5 to 7, The Grace That Keeps This World and Always on My Mind. Past film credits include The Stepford Wives, 101 and 102 Dalmatians, Tarzan, Air Force One, Paradise Road, Mars Attacks!, The House of the Spirits, Hamlet, Dangerous Liaisons, Fatal Attraction and many more. On television, Close has appeared in Damages and The Shield.
