Glenn Close, Jessica Hecht & More Cast in Tim Blake Nelson's ANESTHESIA

Deadline reports that Glenn Close, Sam Waterston, Gretchen Mol, Michael K. Williams, Corey Stoll, Jessica Hect, Gloria Reuben have signed on to the cast of Tim Blake Nelson's 'Anesthesia'.

Nelson wrote the script for the film in which he will act in and direct. It centers on "stories of New Yorkers whose lives come together after the violent mugging of a Columbia University philosophy professor."

Waterston will portray the professor, Walter Zarrow while Glenn Close will take on the role of Zarrow's wife Marcia. Corey Stoll will portray as an investment banker who witnesses the attack and Gretchen Mol will play his wife, "an alcoholic New Jersey homemaker." As I reported Sunday, Twilight's Kristen Stewart will play Zarrow's troubled student Sophie.

Also joining the cast will be Michael K. Williams, Mickey Sumner (Frances Ha), and K. Todd Freeman. Shooting is now currently underway in NYC. Anesthesia marks Nelson's fifth directorial feature.
