Chandra Wilson is checking into GENERAL HOSPITAL.

According to Soaps In Depth, the GREY'S ANATOMY is set to guest on the long-running ABC soap on Jan. 28. As of now, no details on Wilson's character have been announced

"I've watched General Hospital for 35 years," Wilson said. "I grew up with it. It holds such a place in my heart. Even though we've shared the same lot for 10 years I can't talk to anybody on the lot...It's weird to see them because they're supposed to be in Port Charles! I have that kind of fan disconnect."

"General Hospital," the most honored show of the 2012 Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, celebrated its golden anniversary on April 1, 2013. After 50 historic years on ABC, "General Hospital" is the longest running American soap opera currently in production and the third longest-running drama in American television history. "General Hospital" was created by Frank and Doris Hursley. Frank Valentini is the executive producer. Ron Carlivati is the head writer.
