The Desert Sun is reporting that Barbara Sinatra, wife of famed crooner Frank Sinatra, passed away TODAY at her Rancho Mirage, California home following months of declining health.

A rep for the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center Foundation told the Desert Sun ... "She died comfortably surrounded by family and friends at her home."

Barbara and Frank Sinatra were wed on July 11, 1976, and they remained married until Frank's death on May 14, 1998. It was Sinatra's fourth and final marriage, and the longest-lasting one. Barbara became an advocate for victims of child abuse, and established her foundation with the support of her famous spouse. The couple did not have children together.
