Frank Langella Joins GRACE OF MONACO Film

According to Deadline.com, Frank Langella is in talks to play Father Tucker in Grace of Monaco opposite Nicole Kidman in the title role of Princess Grace Kelly, as well as Tim Roth as Prince Rainier III. The film will be directed by Oliver Dahan, who helmed La Vie en Rose.

The film will center on the 11-month period in Kelly's life when she successfully prevented a coup in her city-state of Monaco which involved a tax controversy. Langella's role, Father Tucker, was a priest and chief advisor to Kelly and Rainier.

Langella's Robot And Frank is set to open this weekend after a good showing at Sundance, and the actor will soon appear in HBO's Muhammad Ali movie, as well as The Time Being, to play in Toronto. Langella's other film credits include Frost/Nixon, for which he received an Oscar nomination and won a Tony Award for his performance in the stage play of the same name, Unknown, All Good Things, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, Starting Out in the Evening, Good Night, and Good Luck, Dracula, The Twelve Chairs and many more.

Veteran of the Great White Way, Langella has appeared on Broadway in Man and Boy, A Man For All Seasons, Frost/Nixon, Match, Fortune's Fool, Present Laughter, The Father, Sherlock's Last Case, Hurlyburly, Design For Living, Passion, Amadeus, Dracula, Seascape, A Cry of Players and Yerma. He has also played Off-Broadway in The Visit, among many more credits.
