Fox Buys New Musical Comedy

According to Deadline.com, FOX has bought a new musical comedy TV show, THE SOUND OF SUMNERS, written by Peter Knight and Executive produced by Modern Family director Jason Winer.

The show, which uses a single camera, is a, "truly honest and hilarious exploration of a contemporary family featuring an entirely unique musical element that involves an irreverent and buzzworthy use of original music and songs."

Knight previously wrote a mixed-genre comedy/fantasy series Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire and horror/teen drama/comedy Big Wolf on Campus.
