First Look at R2-D2 from Set of STAR WARS EPISODE VII!George Osborn, England's Chancellor of the Exchequer & MP for Tatton turned to Twitter to share the first image of iconic STAR WARS character R2-D2 from the set of the highly anticipated STAR WARS: EPISODE VII.

Osborn captioned the image: "With #StarWars director J.J Abrams and Lucasfilm president Kathy Kennedy, talking to a key cast member.. " Check it out at left!

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow will join the original stars of the Saga Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new, currently untitled film.

Star Wars: Episode VII is being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.
