FX Networks has promoted Kate Lambert to the position of Senior Vice President, Series Development and Animation, it was announced today by Eric Schrier and Nick Grad, Presidents of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Productions, to whom Lambert will report.

In this new role, Lambert will oversee the development of animated original series and short-form animated programs for FX Networks, which recently announced plans to increase its animation output for FX and FXX, and she will also continue to develop live-action series for those networks.

"From Archer to Atlanta, Kate has done an extraordinary job of developing some of FX's signature shows and we are thrilled she will be taking an even greater role in guiding the networks' programming," said Schrier and Grad. "Kate is among the best in the business at forming relationships with the most sought-after producers, writers and talent, and this will be invaluable as we continue to build on FX Networks' slate of acclaimed and award-winning live-action and animated series."

Lambert developed and oversees the animated series Archer - the critical darling and audience favorite that won the Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Animated Program. She was involved in the development of pilots for numerous hit series, including The Americans, Sons of Anarchy, The Strain, Justified, American Horror Story, The League, Wilfred and Louie. Most recently, Lambert was instrumental in the development and production of Atlanta, the new FX comedy series created by and starring Donald Glover. Atlanta is the most critically acclaimed new comedy series of the year and basic cable's most-watched new comedy series in three years among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers.

Prior to joining FX, Lambert worked at HBO and CAA. Lambert graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and Cinema/Television.
