Fox has cancelled the supernatural drama series SLEEPY HOLLOW, after four seasons. Based on "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow," the FOX series was created by Alex Kurtzman, Roberti Orci, Phillip Iscove and Len Wiseman. Iscove turned to social media last night to announce the cancellation news. Check out the posts below!

This March, SLEEPY HOLLOW just concluded its lowest-rated season thus far. The fourth season of the show, featuring only 13 episodes, averaged only a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demo and 1.9 million total viewers - down 40% in the demo and and 37% in viewers from the previous season. (source: Variety) The show's cancellation follows earlier news that the FOX network has axed its drama series ROSEWOOD and PITCH.

About SLEEPY HOLLOW: In this modern-day twist on Washington Irving's classic, ICHABOD CRANE (Tom Mison, "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen") is resurrected and pulled two and a half centuries through time to unravel a mystery that dates all the way back to the founding fathers. Revived alongside Ichabod is the infamous Headless Horseman who is on a murderous rampage in present-day Sleepy Hollow. Ichabod quickly realizes that stopping Headless is just the beginning, as the resurrected rider is but the first of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and only one of the many formidable foes that Ichabod must face to protect not only Sleepy Hollow, but the world.
